BIO Joshua Boos was born in Hicksville, Long Island NY 1974 and raised in Floral City, Florida. He had a sense of style starting at a very young age. Looking back, he remembers always being glued to the television-set when beauty make-over’s were being televised. “At that time, Jose Eber was transforming women with just haircuts, colour, make-up and dress. That was it for me’, Boos says, ‘I was hooked!”
At the age of nineteen, he started his formal career in the beauty industry and he hasn’t looked back ever since. He has trained with the best in the beauty industry; working with Matrix as an advisor, received top placement in multiple competitions, owned two salons and has had his work recognized in national magazines, all throughout the sixteen years of his career.
Moxie Salon and Beauty Hub has been his greatest undertaking to date. Moving his wife and two children from Southwest Florida, while leaving his loyal following and moving to the State of New York took… Well… Moxie! Boos says, “Moxie encompasses everything about the salon, my family, the move, the clients… everything. I like changing people‘s perception of themselves; making them feel good, as well as bringing real facts about the beauty products the clients are using... and getting back down to hair and scalp basics.”
Moxie Salon and Beauty Hub proves to be a stand-out salon in the Hudson Valley area. A glimpse of their décor tells you that, but their continued education and their strive for perfection is evident in one sitting. Boos says, “When you’re passionate about your work it shows. When you have true concern about the client, it shows. And when you get a great haircut, it shows!”

Stephanie was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. Ever since the day she could remember, she has been fascinated by the beauty industry. Stephanie began her career nine years ago as a make-up artist and graduated from Tobi Britton's The Make-Up Shop, in NYC.
After years of freelancing, Stephanie realized that she wanted to expand her creativity and career, so she studied cosmetology; graduated and went on to working for Sally Hershberger's Salon in NYC.
Tired of the hustle and bustle, she has come back to the area, where it all began; contributing her skills at Moxie!
